Khor Virap, Areni, Noravank and Tatev

A one-day tour of Armenia from Yerevan to the south-east of the country, to the old temples and monasteries. The trip includes visits architectural monuments and many other places. A pleasant end to the tour will be a trip to the winery in Areni with a tasting of amazing Armenian wines.

Tour route:

You will be met by a guide and driver at your hotel and you will go to Khor Virap Monastery. According to legend, sv. Gregory the Illuminator, the patron saint of Armenia, was here in the basement for 13 years for the spread of Christianity. The location of the monastery allows you to enjoy the best views of the mountains. Travel to the Noravank complex (12th century), located on the ledge of the deep winding gorge of the Arpa River. Last stop in Areni, famous for producing the famous Armenian wine from pomegranate and apricot.

Tatev Monastery is a UNESCO World Heritage Site candidate. On October 23, 2010, Tatev was officially registered in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's longest non-stop double-track cableway.
