Areni, Noravanq, Tatev and Khndzoresk

Areni village - a centenary center of Armenian winemaking. Here you can try a wide variety of wines, including the Areni grapes. Wine can be tasted both in wine-makers and in the hospitable villagers' home.
Noravank monastery -The monastery is located in Vayots Dzor region, dating back to the XIII-XIV centuries. Noravank is known not only as medieval spiritual center of Syunik, but also surrounded by unique and mysterious red rocks. This monastic complex is considered to be the most prominent Armenian miniature artist and sculptor Momik.
Tatev Monastery - is an exclusive masterpiece of Armenian architecture. Tatev monastery is a historical monument of IX century. It is one of the oldest spiritual centers of medieval Armenia, as well as the largest university of its time. Due to the construction of Tatev, the longest ropeway in the world (5,7km), from Halidzor to Tatev, the monastery complex is now available to everyone and has become one of the most visited places in Armenia.
Khndzoresk is one of those places, about which we can precisely say, that people were able to dominate the nature and take the best of it. With its rocky hills Khndzoresk Canyon moves our imagination to the times, when giants lived in Armenia.
Khndzoresk is famous for its antique cave dwellings, which have been used up to 1950s. From ancient times people lived in these rocky hills, constructing artificial shelters and places for food storage. Return to Yerevan
